Buy Local - North West Food and DrinkUCLan's NW Centre for Waste Management project In 2004, the University of Central Lancashire launched its Centre for Waste Management programme, an ERDF funded project which provided Lancashire based SMEs with support and advice about issues of waste, energy and environmental management. It ran until 2006, during which time, it helped local businesses to improve their profits by well in excess of £3 million. The successor to the original project is the North West Centre for Waste Management, which operates throughout the North West region. It offers the same support and recommendations but can also now help with student placements, bespoke research and many other related issues. The project can help SMEs in areas of the North West that are deemed fully eligible for Objective 2 funding. You can carry out a free check by entering your postcode in the Objective 2 checker.
