Buy Local - North West Food and DrinkMade in Lancashire Buy Local 2008 is supported by Made in Lancashire, Made in Cumbria and Made in Cheshire. Like its sister organisations, Made in Lancashire is dedicated to promoting foods that have been grown, reared, caught, brewed, pickled, baked, smoked or processed in the local county. It offers active help with the development of local brands and provides a visible 'stamp of recognition' that helps consumers to identify the very best of the county's food products. The Made in Lancashire logo helps to assure customers that they are buying locally produced food. For producers, it can bring a range of benefits, including effective group marketing, business development and access to training and development funds. Made in Lancashire is based at Myerscough College in the Rural Business Centre and is supported by the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA), the Department for Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and the Lancashire Rural Recovery Action Plan (LRP). Made in Lancashire has been working in association with Lancashire & Blackpool Tourist Board to develop the 'Taste Lancashire' quality mark.
