Buy Local 2008 - North West Food and Drink

Buy Local is a trade event for North West based restaurateurs, hoteliers, caterers, supermarket buyers and other regional businesses. It is intended to help such companies to:

• Meet local producers of high quality food and drink
• Discover how to cut food and drinks bills
• Meet specialist support organisations
• Sample the foods and enjoy the 'Taste of the North West'

Buy Local 2008 took place on 29th January and featured food producers from Lancashire, Cumbria, Cheshire and Greater Manchester. There was also a special demonstration by Nigel Haworth, head chef of the Michelin Star rated Northcote Manor in Blackburn, who showed what can be achieved using local ingredients.

Planning is now under way for the next Buy Local event and details including dates and venues will be published here as soon as they are confirmed.
